Common Questions and Answers
How old do you have to be to start?
We take children from the age of 5 years.
What should I bring?
1) Sports clothes, 2) Bottle of water, 3) Positive attitude - keep an open mind, be prepared for a bit of workout, and you're all set for an enjoyable experience.
Will there be other beginners there?
We have new students joining throughout the year, so it's very likely that there will be a beginners group when you start.
How much are the classes?
The class fee is £9 per person. We also offer extra discounts for families - more details are provided when you register.
What is the training like?
The training varies from lesson to lesson, so the classes are always interesting! Each week, the instructor sets a focus for the training in order to improve some specific areas. This can include: Warm up & Stretching, Basic Techniques, Kata and Combinations, Sparring, Self-Defence, Fitness, Fun & Games. Having a variety of these elements in each class means that there is always something new to explore, improve, and enjoy.
Whilst there’s much more that can be said about this karate course, the best way to proceed is to just come along and experience it for yourself. Feel free to use the calendar to book the most convenient starting date for you.
