Dear Sensei Eddie,
My son was a bit upset last night after you explained he had some more work to do before his grading so I offered to buy him a green belt (as a joke) - he replied, seriously "No daddy, you can't, I won't have earned it." It is good to see that he is growing up with an understanding of the value of achievement. He is now working hard to attain the standard you demand.
